I currently work in Human-Computer Interaction Lab at Santa Clara University, advised by Professor Kai Lukoff. My current research projects focus on how AI agents can support digital wellbeing, as well as how AI tools can help bridge the technical gap for novices and expand creative potential beyond one’s current knowledge scope. I currently lead two projects in these areas: FocusMode and the Vibe Building project. I am also very interested in how AI, as a new tool, could reshape the way people access education, both from an academic perspective and a personal one. I believe it is essential to understand what people need to learn in this new era, where human language has become a powerful input for computing.

Before my PhD journey, I worked as a full-stack software engineer at Microsoft and interned at Amazon as a software development engineer. These experiences solidified my technical foundation and fueled my passion for creating user-centered solutions that bridge the gap between technology and human needs.

Technically, I have over 8 years of experience in full-stack web development and system design. I’m a fast learner, able to quickly adapt to new tech stacks and deliver impactful solutions. In past year, I’ve been diving deep into AI and AR due to my strong research interests, and I’m on the path to mastering these fields.

In addition to my research, I serve as a peer reviewer for SIGCHI and would love to contribute to reviewing more work in the HCI community. I’m also a member of UC Berkeley’s Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology (SCET), the European Innovation Academy, and MeaningfulXR, where I engage with global innovators and thought leaders in emerging technologies.

In general, I am a very motivated and energetic person, eager to learn and grow. I identify myself as an engineer, researcher, Muay Thai fighter, but most importantly, an Earth traveler. There’s one quote that always guides my way:
